Video Section Is Now Live

The Video section is now back online. We have radically overhauled the section from the previous versions with some additions we think you will enjoy.

The main page has the Recent/Most Popular/etc. listings you are familiar with from elsewhere on the website, along with the listing of the games in the right-hand side of the navigation. When you look at a game, you will see videos for all versions that have been released, so multiple releases like Tales of Vesperia will show videos for both versions. If you pick a platform, you will see all the different types of videos available, such as Trailers and Commercials (these match the playlists on our YouTube channel). All of these sections so far will only show up to four images, which are picked at random from the database.

When you pick a particular type, that is where you will see all of the videos for that type, in order of when they were added to our database. Once you pick a particular video, you will see the embedded video along with, in a first for a Tales of website, comments, views, and tag data straight from YouTube. We also have a download link in the navigation in case you want to watch the video on your computer when you are offline.

This early website-YouTube functionality is just the start to what we are aiming to do for this section. We are hoping to later include more video data, as well as the ability to add a comment straight from the website. We will be adding these additions in gradually as time permits, so be sure to check back to see when we add the new functionality. ;)
