Tales of Xillia Is Coming To North America And Europe
Those who have been following the recent Tales news as of late already know that Namco Bandai had registered the trademark for Tales of Xillia in North America and Europe. Namco Bandai has announced today at Japan Expo 2012 that they will be localizing the title for North America and Europe.
Tales of Xillia utilizes the contrast between light and shadow, which will lead to the game having a different art style direction than Vesperia's anime-style graphics or Graces's watercolor-style graphics. Baba stated that when he saw some of the concept artwork images running on actual hardware he was very impressed.
Not much in the way of details was mentioned at the event except for the fact that the game will be released sometime next year in 2013 in both regions.
This isn't specifically related to Tales of Xillia, but the fourth Tales of interview with Hideo Baba was released this week and it announced that a special Tales of Xillia-themed giveaway is planned in the near future. The prize is three copies of the "Kyun Chara" calendar box which came with the box, game and figurines, although the copies being given away won't include the game. No word was given on the specifics of the contest as of yet.
