Tales of Xillia Gets Swimsuit Costumes
The last time we got word of new Tales of Xillia costumes they were school-based costumes. Of course, fans of anime know there's another costume fetish that's still missing: swimwear. And that's just what Namco Bandai is bringing to the table in the newest leaked scans for Tales of Xillia.
Tales of Xillia will utilize the contrast between light and shadow, which will lead to the game having a different art style direction than Vesperia's anime-style graphics or Graces's watercolor-style graphics (it could be more of a hand-painted or oil painting-like feel if the concept artwork is any indication). Baba stated that when he saw some of the concept artwork images running on actual hardware he was very impressed.
As with the prior DLC costume reveals each character in the game does have their own swimwear costume, although the exact price of the costumes aren't currently known. Part of the scan does appear to show off Jude's recently revealed Mystic Arte but we'll need the full scan to find out if anything new is revealed.
Tales of Xillia will be released on September 8 in Japan exclusively on the PS3. No word has been given on a North American or European release.
UPDATE (8/17): Four more scans have leaked out. Two of them feature the other two remaining characters revealed earlier, one shows off more of Jude's Mystic Arte and reveals Milla's Mystic Arte for the first time (which resembles Dhaos's Dhaos Laser to a certain degree but with similarities to Estelle's Ultimate Elements). The remaining scan showcases more of the attachments that can be equipped to the characters in the game.
UPDATE: Three other scans have surfaced tonight and have been added to the original story. One shows off some of the attachments available in the game while the other two scans are of the characters revealed in this scan.
