Durring this past Saturday's "Tales of Xillia 2 Summer Vacation Talk" event, Namco Bandai Games announced that they will offer costumes in the game based off the characters from the OVA Code Geass: Akito the Exiled. The collaboration will kick of with a costume of the main character Akito that Tales of Xillia 2's protagonist Ludger can ware. Costumes for the other characters have been planed, although the price and release dates for them have not been announced yet. Namco Bandai is also teaming up with retailer Marui One to create special outfits for Erize and Rowen.

On a side note, Namco Bandai also revealed that Alvin will be receiving his very own side-story novel titled, Tales of Xiilia: Alvin Chronicle. Serialization will begin in the October issue of Viva Tales of Magazine on August 28.

Tales of Xillia 2 is a sequel to the original Tales of Xillia and takes place a year after its conclusion. The sequel features an improved battle system which allows the player to switch between different weapon styles at-will during battle. Direct choices can now be made during specific cutscenes similar to Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII-2 which affects the outcome of the events in real-time.

Tales of Xillia 2 will be released in Japan on November 1. The first game will be released sometime in 2013 in both North America and Europe.
