Tales of Symphonia HD Collection Confirmed

PS3 by Eric

The big announcement during the Tales of Festival livestream confirmed the rumor of a high-definition Tales of Symphonia collection. As a celebration of Tales of Symphonia’s 10th anniversary this title will be coming out in Japan in October and Hideo Baba wants to bring it to the west early next year.

Tales of Symphonia: Unisonant Pack (possibly “Chronicles” in the west) will feature both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia 2 remastered in HD for the Playstation 3. The games will play the same as their originals, but will contain extra content such as costumes and Mystic Arte cut-ins.

Frist-run bonuses include a Ufotable-drawn greeting card, a greeting message from the voice actors, and a PS3 theme. Of course special edition copies are planned and are to include five chibi character figures, an original novel that bridges the two games, and a Ufotable-drawn special box.

As for the west there is not much information aside from producer Hideo Baba announcing his desire to bring the game to the west by early 2014, and that the working title is Tales of Symphonia: Chronicles so look forward to that.

Tales of Symphonia: Unisonant Pack will be available in Japan on October 10 and early 2014 in the North America and Europe.
