Tales of Graces f Localization And Dubbing Complete, Early 2012 Release In US Hinted
Back in October, we got our first look at Tales of Graces f in English, albeit with some of the voices being hard to hear due to the noise from the other games being demonstrated at the event. Thanks to 8-4 Ltd.'s newest "8-4 Play" podcast we now have more information about the game's localization progress.
Tales of Graces f (the f stands for "future") has an extra post-game story which takes place after the game's original ending. Without spoiling anything, there seems to be an increase in the monster population, which increases the amount of monster attacks around the world. This causes Asbel and his group to set off once again to determine the cause behind the recent disturbance.
According to the podcast both the localization and the dubbing is officially complete. 8-4 Ltd. did the localization and Cup of Tea Productions, Inc. did the dubbing, both of which are companies that have handled the recent prior Tales of releases.
While not an official sign of the release date, they did speculate from the knowledge they know that they believe it will be released sometime during January-February 2012, earlier than some fans might have thought due to the lack of information surrounding the localization progress as of late. Whether this means they may be using Abyss to promote Graces, the other way around or both at the same time remains to be seen. But it does appear that some sort of cross-promotion might be in the works as this timeframe would put it right near Tales of the Abyss 3DS's Valentine's Day release.
No official word has came out of Namco Bandai following this news, so the above release date timeframe shouldn't be taken as concrete fact just yet. If you want to hear it for yourself, listen around the 2:14:20 - 2:15:00 mark.
