Tales of Festival 2013: Day 2

PS3 by Alex

Tales of Festival 2013 is now officially over. Yesterday a bunch of exciting announcements were made at the event, including a Tales of Symphonia HD collection. While day two didn’t have any major product reveals, there was still plenty to see. Read about the attractions attendees of the event were able to enjoy below.

Over the last two days the Yokohama Arena was flooded with Tales fans. Those who attended were able to buy and consume a number of Tales-related items. Some food items available for purchase were popsicles, and mabo curry, a popular food item found in Tales games. Also found on the arena floor were exclusive apparel items by Lalabit Market, available for pre-order. Necklaces, shirts and a replica pouch were among items on display.

Perhaps some of the most exciting attractions for fans were the live stage performances. Hosted by Shiho Kawaragi (Cheria Barnes), and Masaya Onosaka (Zelos Wilder), numerous voice actors for the Tales series took to the stage and performed live-skits as their various characters.

Musical artists misono and DEEN, who have worked on Tales theme songs, also made an appearance, misono on the first day, and DEEN on the second. Misono’s songs for Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World will be getting new arrangements for the upcoming Tales of Symponia Unisonant Pack this fall.

The second day also provided some elaboration on upcoming products. The four new Chibi Kyun-Chara prize figures announced by Banpresto include: Zelos Wilder from Tales of Symphonia, Leon Magnus from Tales of Destiny, Milla Maxwell from Tales of Xillia 2, and Rita Mordio from Tales of Vesperia. Out this month from Movic come two different collectible sets of chibi figures, one of Tales of Xillia 2 characters and one of various Tales characters wearing school clothes

While attendees were prohibited from taking photos of the live performances at the event Famitsu.com was allowed access. To see their gallery from Tales of Festival 2013, click here for day one, and here for day two.

That’s it for this year’s Tales of Festival. We hope you check back throughout the year as we discover more about the Tales of Symphonia Unisonant Pack, and other Tales games and products.
