Tales of Festival 2013: Day 1

XilliaPS3 by Alex

It’s that time of year again Tales fans! The annual Tales of Festival is now underway! As one might imagine, there’s a lot of tasty new info to keep track of, so we’ll be providing a separate compilation article for each day of the two-part event. These articles will be updated as new information comes out. Read on to learn about the first day of Tales of Festival 2013.

tosunisonant3The biggest news from day one was the announcement of a Tales of Symphonia HD collection called the Tales of Symphonia: Unisonant Pack. This 10th anniversary collection contains HD versions of both Tales of Symphonia and Tales of Symphonia 2 for the Playstation 3. It is due out October 10, 2013 in Japan, and will cost 6,980 yen. It has also been confirmed to be releasing in the Americas, Australasia, and Europe in early 2014 with the tentative title: Tales of Symphonia Chronicles.

tos_animation_bd_boxThe Tales of Symphonia games aren’t the only thing getting re-released. The recently completed Tales of Symphonia direct to video anime adaptation will be getting a Blu-ray upgrade later this year. The new Blu-ray box, containing the entire series -- Sylvarant, Tethe’alla, and United World arcs -- will be available on November 6, 2013.

Later this year Kotobukiya will be releasing a Zelos “Dream Cushion Cover” and a Tales of Symphonia themed rubber strap collection. But that’s not all. In 2014 they also plan to release a 1/8 scale Colette figure.

From Banpresto we are getting new Ichiban Kuji prize figures in the newly announced Tales of Series 2 line this September. Leon Magnus from Tales of Destiny, and Milla Maxwell from Tales of Xillia 2 are the largest additions to the product line. Also part of this series are new Chibi Kyun-Chara figures.
