Second Round of Innocence R DLC Is Past Life Costumes
Tales of Innocence R was just released in Japan, but as expected Namco Bandai has revealed news of more post-launch DLC for the title and we have gotten word of the game's first week sales figures.
According to Namco Bandai the R in the title means "re-imagining", not remake like some had previously thought. Tales of Innocence R includes a revised game theme, a new battle system and a new gameplay system alongside a new opening movie.
The new DLC is centered around the character's past lives with each costume resembling them (with the exception of QQ and Kongwai who have costumes themed after the people from that era). The costumes will be released on February 9 for ¥250 until March 31 when the price increases to ¥300.
Also, according to the latest Media Creates sales figures, Tales of Innocence R sold 54,853 copies in its opening week. While it's a far cry from the numbers Xillia and Graces f got, for a new handheld that's only a few months old it's a respectable number with the currently smaller install base.
We also have a new trailer featuring Ange's second (original) Mystic Arte which can be found below.
Tales of Innocence R was released on January 26, 2012 in Japan for the PlayStation Vita. No word on a North American or European localization has currently been announced.
