NYCC 2013: Tales of Xillia 2 Gets A New English Trailer

PS3 by Shawn

New York Comic Con 2013 (also known as NYCC 2013) is taking place this weekend and Namco Bandai has brought some new news regarding Tales of Xillia 2 to the show, namely in the form of a new English-dubbed trailer.

Tales of Xillia 2 is a sequel to the original Tales of Xillia and takes place a year after its conclusion. The sequel features an improved battle system which allows the player to switch between different weapon styles at-will during battle. Direct choices can now be made during specific cutscenes similar to Square Enix's Final Fantasy XIII-2 which affects the outcome of the events in real-time.

Tales of Xillia 2 was announced for localization before Tales of Xillia was even released, stated due to impressive pre-order numbers from the first game.

It should be noted this is the first time we've heard the English voice actors trailer-wise for longer than a couple seconds. The above video was from someone attending the event, we'll update the trailer with a higher quality variant once Namco Bandai officially puts up their own version of the trailer.

Also, Namco Bandai announced that Tales of Xillia now has over 1 million combined sales worldwide thanks to the North American and European releases earlier this year.

Tales of Xillia 2 will be released sometime in 2014.
