TALES UNION NEWS
New Layout, New Look
29 June 2009 by ShawnIf you were visiting the site during the last few hours, you may have noticed that there was an offline message present. That was due to us updating the site to this new layout --- think of it as Tales 3.0. ;)
Most of the layout should look the same. The most major change was moving to HTML 5. Some browsers are adding support for new tags such as video and audio, as well as other neat features. We wanted to get the site ready for this move (the full specs for HTML 5 are still in development), so we would not have to entirely recode the layout.
Another change was moving a lot of the items that were in the navigation to the new footer. This appears on every page, so you can always see our new tweets or the new topics in our community.
All of the other changes were minor ones, such as messing around with the look of various sections, rearranging items in the navigation, etc. There's still a few minor changes left, but most of these are in the backend and will not affect anyone but the staff. If you see any issues, please feel free to contact us and let us know. ;)
