Japan Gets Budget Re-Releases for Tales of 15th Anniversary
For those who didn't already know, 2011 is the 15th Anniversary of the "Tales of" series in Japan. Namco Bandai is known for releasing tons of merchandise and the like around these types of celebrations and this event is no exception as the company will be re-releasing some of the franchise's previous games at a budget price.
Each game will come in a special 15th anniversary sleeve and each copy will come with a code that can be used to download a PS3/PSP Tales of Xillia-themed theme from the PlayStation Store. It wasn't stated specifically but the PSP games will almost likely get the PSP code while the PS3 games will get the PS3 code.
The following games are included (note that Phantasia is the older "Full Voice Edition" version, not Narikiri Dungeon X):
- Tales of Graces f (PS3)
- Tales of Vesperia (PS3)
- Tales of Rebirth (Sony PSP)
- Tales of Destiny 2 (Sony PSP)
- Tales of Eternia (Sony PSP)
- Tales of Phantasia: Full Voice Edition (Sony PSP)
All six games will be released in Japan on August 4. Tales of Xillia will hit a month later on September 8.
