Last year we featured a article about a new Tales of figurine being made by Alter. While we don't normally cover merchandise here since the majority of it is extremely difficult to get outside of Japan we do like to feature some items such as figurines which are much easier to obtain for Western fans of the series.

So we're going to start featuring figurine and other more easily obtainable merchandise from here on out, with the first piece of news being centered around the release date for Alter's Luke fon Fabre figurine from Tales of the Abyss.

According to a retail listing from AmiAmi the figurine will be released on April 12, 2012 for ¥5,800 as a special price for early buyers (the normal MSRP is ¥7,665). While the page does list that the figurine in the image preview is a prototype and may not represent the final product, it sure does look pretty near-finished at this point.
