Second Official Dengeki Tales of VS. PSP Theme Released

PSP by Shawn

Dengeki has released their second custom PlayStation Portable (PSP) theme themed after Tales of VS.

Unlike some other custom themes, this one only styles the background and the first five main icons in the XMB (forgoing the PlayStation Network icon or the sub-icons). However, the quality is quite impressive compared to some of the other themes out there.

The third theme will be released at a later date.

Tales of VS: More Director's Corner Video

PSP by Shawn

A new Director's Corner Video has been added to the official minisite for Tales of VS. on Tales Channel, the Japanese hub for the Tales of series. The game will pit the various Tales of characters in a fighting free-for-all, using their well-known Artes, locations from the different games, and even items from the various games, as well as each character's unique Mystic Arte.

As always, this is a combo video. First off is Director as Barbatos Goetia (Tales of Destiny 2) going up against Dhaos (Tales of Phantasia). He strings together a series of attacks followed by Genocide Braver, which sends Dhaos away but allows the Director to get close to him, repeating the combo over again.

The second half is the Director as Kohak Hearts going up against Shing Meteoryte (both from Tales of Hearts). He strings together some attacks and Artes to throw Shing into the air, then goes into Over Limit and uses Kohak's Mystic Arte, sending Shing downwards to the bottom of the stage.

The video can be found in the full story.

Tales of VS. Has A Variety of Music

PSP by Shawn

A new system video has added to the official minisite on Tales Channel, Namco Bandai's hub for Tales series updates in Japan, as well as a area for Tales of VS. for Mobile. The game will pit the various Tales of characters in a fighting free-for-all, using their well-known Artes, locations from the different games, and even items from the various games, as well as each character's unique Mystic Arte.

The new video shows off some of the music available in the game, as well as some of the arranged music. Nothing new here, since we already knew about people like Go Shiina remixing the music last month.

As for the Tales of VS. for Mobile update, there seems to be a special "web" Gald that is available in the mobile version. The rest of the update just talks about linking the two games up, which we already knew about earlier.
