Just when you thought there wasn't enough DLC Tales of Vesperia costumes, Namco Bandai has announced more. Since the release of Tales of Vesperia on the PS3 in September 2009, the company has released a various assortment of costumes, ranging from cameos of earlier Tales of games to cameos of older Namco Bandai properties.
This latest batch don't seem to have to do with either one, instead being called the "strongest" costumes. From the pictures shown, it looks like these costumes could be considered as high-level, flashy variations of their normal costumes (think of it as a class change for each character).
Each costume will be released on February 10, 2010 for 300 Yen a piece in Japan. No word has been announced on an localization for either North America or Japan.
Namco Bandai has revealed a slew of new Namco-themed Tales of Vesperia DLC costumes due to be released next year during Jump Festa 2010.
Each character will get one Namco-themed costume, ranging from the company's beginnings to its latest games. The costumes will be released on January 14th, 2010 (no price was revealed). The costumes are as follows:
Yuri: Heishiro Mitsurugi (Soul Calibur) Estelle: Valkyrie (The Adventures of Valkyrie) Flynn: Frederic Chopin (Eternal Sonata) Repede: Character from Family Stadium Karol: Klonoa (Klonoa) Rita: Haruka Amami (The Idolmaster) Judith: KOS-MOS (Xenosaga) Raven: Heihachi (Tekken) Patty: Mr. Driller (Mr. Driller)
On the eve of the release of Tales of Graces in Japan, Namco Bandai has added a new video showcasing the Tales of Vesperia costumes that can be worn by Asbel, Sophie, and Cheria.
This game is the first mothership (Namco Bandai's term for non-spin-off games in the Tales of series) game for the Wii. The previous Tales of game for the Wii, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, was classified as a spin-off sequel.
Just when you thought you couldn't get enough of the cameo costumes in Tales of Vesperia, Namco Bandai has just announced that more have just been added to PlayStation Network for 300 Yen each.
As of yet, Namco Bandai has yet to announce a North American localization. The game came out in Japan this September with stronger sales than the Xbox 360 version.
The costumes that are available as part of this update are the following:
Yuri: Creed (Tales of Hearts) Estelle: Elraine (Tales of Destiny 2) Flynn: Lukius (Tales of the Tempest) Repede: Asura (Tales of Innocence) Karol: Milhaust (Tales of Rebirth) Raven: Van (Tales of the Abyss) Rita: Walter (Tales of Legendia) Judith: Richter (Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World) Patty: Mithos (Tales of Symphonia)
New school-themed downloadable costumes for Tales of Vesperia have just been revealed. The game has numerous changes, such as a brand new character, Patty Fleur, the addition of new bosses like the Sword Dancer, Flynn being playable for more that just one battle, among other changes. The game will also be fully voiced and will include new and altered scenes, such as Yuri fighting Don Whitehorse when the party visits Keiv Moc.
The titles will be available for download on the PlayStation Network on October 29th, 2009. The price for the titles is currently unknown, however.
Just when you thought there wasn't anything left to reveal in Tales of Vesperia PS3, a new partial scan has revealed a odd new wrinkle to Patty Fleur's Mystic Arte, which was revealed in the trailer released a week or so ago.
As you can see, Patty Fleur's Mystic Arte has her run across a circular game board and depending on where she lands, different outcomes will be determined, such as Barbatos Goetia (from Tales of Destiny 2). It is unknown exactly what he does when he is summoned, however, it isn't the real Barbatos that is summoned (it's a fake of sorts).
Partial scans have just revealed a new Arte for Flynn Scifo and a new attachment for Repede, as well as more information on Karol's Sgt. Frog costume title.
Flynn's new Arte seems to have something to do with the words light and fracture (we're working on getting a proper translation). As for Repede, he will have a new attachment that is a combination of all of the individual Overdrive dolls that he could collect in the game (including the new PS3-exclusive character, Patty Fleur).
It also seems Karol's Sgt. Frog title will be available via PlayStation Network for 500 Yen as a separate download on the same day the game is released.
Another scan for Tales of Vesperia PS3 has been released, which reveals more cameo costumes and new additions in the coliseum.
First off is the new costumes. Yuri Lowell will get a costumed themed after Judas (Tales of Destiny 2), which could be slightly seen in the previous scans that revealed Estelle's Chloe cameo costume. Also, Repede will get a costume themed after Caius (Tales of the Tempest) and Rita will be getting a costume themed after Mao (Tales of Rebirth).
