Tales of Festival: Day 1 News

Tales of Festival: Day 1 News

Earlier today was the first day of Tales of Festival 2010, which brought some new news along with it, along with partial results of the Tales of Popularity poll that was going on at Tales Channel earlier this year.

Namco Bandai has confirmed the rumors that Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X will be having demos. The first demo will hit in early July, which will focus on the improved battle system in the Tales of Phantasia part of the game. Later in the month, a second demo will hit which features the Narikiri Dungeon X portion of the game. The rumored August 5, 2010 release date was also confirmed at the event.

As for the rumored PS3 Tales game, known as Tales of Unitia, the game was a no-show at the Festival except for a mention that this Summer a "major" announcement would occur. It's unknown why they would push the unveiling that far, but they may be putting some extra polish on the game and didn't want to unveil it just yet.

More news as well as the results of the popularity polls can be found in the full story.

New Tales of Graces Mutsumi Inomata Costume For Malik

Dengeki has just revealed news about a new Mutsumi Inomata-themed costume for Malik Caesars in Tales of Graces. Tales of Graces is the first mothership (the official series term for non-spin off games) for the Wii. The previous Wii Tales of title was Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, which was classified as a spin-off sequel.

Like the previous Mutsumi Inomata costumes, including Pascal, Cheria Barnes and Asbel Lhant, Malik's costume is very unique, a samurai design with some animal printed on the front of it.

According to Dengeki, the DLC will be 400 Nintendo Points and will be released on March 31st starting at 1pm JST (Japanese Standard Time). The only character yet to have received a custom costume is Richard.

New Tales of Graces Promotional Video (PV)

A new Tales of Graces promotional video (also known as a PV) has surfaced (appears to be from the Nintendo Week video on the Nintendo Channel on Japanese Wii consoles).

While the beginning of the video is nothing new, the latter half has some stuff we haven't seen before. We can see what seems to be some of Pascal's family members (they have the same white/red hair style as Pascal), Malik facing off against Kurtz, the man who was in the recent Character Video from the game's official website, some green-haired lady who looks like an antagonist, and a clearer shot at that monster who appears in the cavern when the characters are kids.

Nothing that important, mostly just cutscene videos. Each character will eventually appear to have three since each character page has three slots available.
