European Tales of Graces f Release Up In The Air

Graces fPS3Europe by Shawn

After yesterday's announcement of a North American localization of Tales of Graces f, Europeans were likely wondering if Namco Bandai would be releasing the title over on their side of the world. We have an answer from them, and while it's not what most would want to hear, there is a silver lining.

Tales of Graces f (the f stands for "future") has an extra post-game story which takes place after the game's original ending. Without spoiling anything, there seems to be an increase in the monster population, which increases the amount of monster attacks around the world. This causes Asbel and his group to set off once again to determine the cause behind the recent disturbance.

GamingUnion.net reached out to Namco Bandai's European branch earlier today, and while they responded that they currently have no news on the title, but didn't outright deny plans for a release. No other information was given.

Tales of Graces f was released last December in Japan and will be releasing sometime this year in North America. If we find out any other information we'll be sure to let you know.

Tales of Graces f Officially Announced For North America

Graces fPS3 by Shawn

Namco Bandai, after a week of teasing, has officially announced a localization for Tales of Graces f, with an update to www.ataleoftworichards.com/, the teaser website that Namco Bandai has been using up to late.

Tales of Graces f (the f stands for "future") has an extra post-game story which takes place after the game's original ending. Without spoiling anything, there seems to be an increase in the monster population, which increases the amount of monster attacks around the world. No release date has been given for the game, with the website only giving a "coming soon" message.

UPDATE: More information has come to light, which can be seen in the full story.

Tales of Graces f Looks Like Namco Bandai's Next Localization

Graces fPS3 by Shawn

Yesterday, Namco Bandai's new Community Manager Richard Bantegui put up a teaser website which left many fans puzzled as to what Namco Bandai was up to. After putting out a new hint last night, fans have appeared to find out what exactly it is: a localization of Tales of Graces f.

Richard Bantegui put up a this and this hint last night, both of which display the letter f, which fans will know is a direct hint toward the f in Tales of Graces f. Fans later found the website www.ataleoftworichards.com/, which obviously is a reference to the character Richard and a a veiled joke at the community manager's own name.

If you invert the colors on the image on that website, it clearly shows the Tales of Graces f logo. The website was registered on January 12th, so it's clear that this website was registered by Namco Bandai themselves. The source code also mentions the word "foundit" (the puzzle website mentioned the word "keeplooking").

All signs thus point to a localization of Tales of Graces f. And for those who remember my previous article, yes, I'll eat my hat on this one. :P

Possible Proof of Tales of Vesperia Localization

VesperiaRumoursPS3 by Shawn

According to a user on VGChartz's forum, it appears we might have confirmation about a North American localization of Tales of Vesperia on the PlayStation 3.

According to the user, they were attending London Expo and talked w/ Troy Baker, who was the voice behind Yuri Lowell. Troy stated that him and the rest of the voice actors were called back to voice the changed scenes that included Patty Fleur as well as all of the unvoiced scenes from the Xbox 360 version (since the PlayStation 3 version voices everything this time around).

Said user also included a photo from the event, which furthers the credibility of the story. No confirmation from Namco Bandai on the news at this time, however.

English Tales of Graces Intro Signals Localization

GracesWii by Shawn

It appears that Namco Bandai might have accidentally revealed plans for a localization of Tales of Graces in North America, according to an update to the listing for the special edition of the BoA's CD, Mamoritai ~ White Wishes ~, that will be coming out the day before the game's release, which includes some special "BoA Original Costume" serial code, according to the listing.

New to the CD, which already included the normal, in-game, and Karaoke versions is an "English Ver.", which has not yet been previously announced. When news first broke that BoA was chosen to do the opening theme, due to her ability to speak English and already having songs released in North America, many were expecting this as a semi-confirmation that Namco Bandai was planning to release the game outside Japan.

With this reveal, it seems much more likely this is the case, considering the trend started with Tales of Vesperia using a English vocal version of the Japanese theme song.
