Tales of Festival: Day 2 News

Tales of Festival: Day 2 News

Earlier today was the second day of Tales of Festival 2010, but unlike yesterday there doesn't seem to be that much news coming, except for the rest of the popularity poll results and some other minor Tales news.

As we reported on earlier, Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X will be receiving a pre-order bonus DVD. The name of the DVD will be Dramatic DVD Tales of Costume!?. There's also rumours that an Asbel costume for Dio will be made available, which would make sense considering he appears on the DVD.

Continue reading on for the rest of the results of the popularity poll.

Tales of VS: More Director's Corner Fun

Tales of VS: More Director's Corner Fun

A new Director's Corner Video has been added to the official minisite for Tales of VS. on Tales Channel, the Japanese hub for the Tales of series. The game will pit the various Tales of characters in a fighting free-for-all, using their well-known Artes, locations from the different games, and even items from the various games, as well as each character's unique Mystic Arte.

Like before, this is a combo video. First off is Caius Qualls (Tales of the Tempest) facing off against Chester Barklight (Tales of Phantasia), with the Director using Caius. He uses Demon Fang to attack Chester from afar, then comes in close and keep using combos until he ends it with Caius's Mystic Arte.

In the second half, Kyle Dunamis (Tales of Destiny 2) faces off against Ruca Milda (Tales of Innocence), with the Director using Kyle. Again, using a string of attacks, he is easily able to perform a large combo before using Kyle's Mystic Arte.

The video can be found in the full story.

Tales of VS: Five New Character Videos

Chester Barklight (Tales of Phantasia), Eugene Gallardo (Tales of Rebirth), Harold Belserius (Tales of Destiny 2), Kyle Dunamis (Tales of Destiny 2) and Presea Combatir (Tales of Symphonia) have all been officially added to the official minisite on Tales Channel, Namco Bandai's hub for Tales series updates in Japan, in one massive update. The game will pit the various Tales of characters in a fighting free-for-all, using their well-known Artes, locations from the different games, and even items from the various games, as well as each character's unique Mystic Arte.

The two female updates consist of Presea Combatir and Harold Belserius. Presea retains his Mystic Arte from the PlayStation 2 version of Tales of Symphonia, Crimson Devastation. Harold uses Crazy Comet, with all of the extensions (Twinkle Star, Mix Master, and Princess of Mermaid).

The three male updates consist of Chester Barklight, Eugene Gallardo, and Kyle Dunamis. Kyle's Mystic Arte is Zankuu Tenshouken, Eugene uses Shouha Rekkousen (this was originally a dual Mystic Arte with Annie Barrs), and Chester's translated to Divine Judgment, which happened to be a weapon used by Sheena in Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World and was used as a Mystic Arte for Zelos in Tales of Symphonia and Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology --- this was never used for him previously.

The videos can be found in the full story.
