It appears Namco Bandai might be planning to reveal another Tales of game, according to a teaser website that has just launched on Namco Bandai's official Japanese website.
The website, which only has Next RPG Project K as the title and a countdown clock (which currently has six days remaining), has nothing else that would signify what this mysterious game might be. When it originally popped up on the list of games on Namco Bandai's website, it had a Nintendo DS icon attached, although that marking has now been removed (it could be like before with Tales of Vesperia on the Xbox 360, where the platform was accidentally leaked before the official announcement).
Thanks to this blog, it could be possible this is a spin-off or is related to Sgt. Frog (Sergeant Keroro), which was used as a tie-in in the PlayStation 3 version of Vesperia as a DLC costume title for Karol, due to the K_66 in the URL.
In any case, we should know around November 12th if this is the next Tales of title or not.
Partial scans have just revealed a new Arte for Flynn Scifo and a new attachment for Repede, as well as more information on Karol's Sgt. Frog costume title. The game has numerous changes, such as a brand new character, Patty Fleur, the addition of new bosses like the Sword Dancer, Flynn being playable for more that just one battle, among other changes. The game will also be fully voiced and will include new and altered scenes, such as Yuri fighting Don Whitehorse when the party visits Keiv Moc.
Flynn's new Arte seems to have something to do with the words light and fracture (we're working on getting a proper translation). As for Repede, he will have a new attachment that is a combination of all of the individual Overdrive dolls that he could collect in the game (including the new PS3-exclusive character, Patty Fleur).
It also seems Karol's Sgt. Frog title will be available via PlayStation Network for 500 Yen as a separate download on the same day the game is released.
The Tales of Vesperia PS3 scan featuring Yuri and Flynn's Mystic Arte has finally been released, along with a partial scan showing off an...odd title.
The Yuri/Flynn scan doesn't seem to show off anything new (plus it's too blurry to read out any of it), but it does show how it looks. The other scan shows off a Frog costume, which is based off of Sgt. Frog, one of Kadokawa Pictures's many properties (who are spearheading the Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ movie project).
