Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave Demo Incoming This Month

PSP by Shawn

Last time we got a new Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave scan it revealed that Schwartz from Tales of Legendia would be one of the game's cameo bosses. We have another scan this week which reveals word of a demo and a new super deformed character option.

Unlike the other Tales escort titles on the PSP, this game plays similarly to the Musou/Dynasty Warriors franchise with the player controlling one character with a partner character being controlled by the game's AI. Characters from the mothership titles (and surprisingly enough Tales of the Tempest) will be included.

According to the scan, the demo will be released on January 26 which is the same day as Tales of Innocence R's release. This demo will feature a special Team Innocence-themed story which won't be available in the final version of the game and is being done as a tie-in of sorts with the other game's release. The scan also reveals that items can be equipped to the characters which changes them into a super-deformed (SD) style which doubles the size of their heads while leaving their bodies the same size.

Tales of Graces f Demo Release Date Announced

Graces fPS3 by Shawn

Last month, Namco Bandai announced that the Tales of Graces f PSN demo would be delayed until sometime in October, but they wouldn't state when or what the reason was for the delay. Today, the company has finally announced the finalized release date for the demo.

Tales of Graces f (the f stands for "future") has an extra post-game story which takes place after the game's original ending. Without spoiling anything, there seems to be an increase in the monster population, which increases the amount of monster attacks around the world. This causes Asbel and his group to set off once again to determine the cause behind the recent disturbance.

According to the game's official website, the demo will be available on October 7 in Japan on the PS3's PlayStation Store. Tales of Graces f is set to be released on December 2 in Japan on the PS3. No release date for either the Wii or PS3 version in North America or Europe.

Tales of Festival: Day 1 News

ToS: The AnimationPSP by Shawn

Earlier today was the first day of Tales of Festival 2010, which brought some new news along with it, along with partial results of the Tales of Popularity poll that was going on at Tales Channel earlier this year.

Namco Bandai has confirmed the rumors that Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X will be having demos. The first demo will hit in early July, which will focus on the improved battle system in the Tales of Phantasia part of the game. Later in the month, a second demo will hit which features the Narikiri Dungeon X portion of the game. The rumored August 5, 2010 release date was also confirmed at the event.

As for the rumored PS3 Tales game, known as Tales of Unitia, the game was a no-show at the Festival except for a mention that this Summer a "major" announcement would occur. It's unknown why they would push the unveiling that far, but they may be putting some extra polish on the game and didn't want to unveil it just yet.

More news as well as the results of the popularity polls can be found in the full story.

Western PS3 Tales of Vesperia Hinted At

VesperiaPS3 by Shawn

Thanks to Kouli from the Official Tales of Forums, it appears that there might be a good chance Namco Bandai is planning for a localization of the PlayStation 3 port of Tales of Vesperia. It includes numerous extras and changes, such as a brand new character, Patty Fleur, the addition of new bosses like the Sword Dancer, Flynn being playable for more that just one battle, among other changes. The game will also be fully voiced and will include new and altered scenes, such as Yuri fighting Don Whitehorse when the party visits Keiv Moc.

In the demo's code, there were the following skills that were unused. It is important to note that each of these had English descriptions, which would not be needed since the demo was Japanese-only.
