Tales of Series 2010 Lineup Presentation: Tales of Graces f

After the scans for the upcoming Tales games leaked last week, many were wondering when Namco Bandai would hold their press conference to discuss the games, as happens every time a series of new titles are released. Earlier today, on August 2, Namco Bandai did just that, and revealed and clarified a bit of information on many of the titles, includes Tales of Graces f.

It appears that the "f" in the title stands for future, as expected from some of the screenshots we had seen in the scan previously. Similar to the Tales of Legendia post-game content, this will take place after the ending of Tales of Graces and the scenario will be entitled "Genealogy Guide to the Future". It appears that the new outfit for Sophie that we saw last week will be used during this part of the game. BoA was also stated to be returning, although it's unknown if the port will be reprising her original song or using an entirely new one.

The event also revealed the names of both of the Asbel and Sophie's Blast Calibers. Asbel's is 天覇神雷断 (involves thunder but there isn't an exact English translation) and Sophie's is シャドウ・モーメント (Shadow Moment). Richard also seems to be shown in some of the slides from the conference, so it might be possible he is usable either during the game (much like Flynn was retconned into Tales of Vesperia's story) or in the post-game events.

Two New Tales of Graces Costume Videos

Two more costume videos have been added to the official website for Tales of Graces, showing off the BoA and formal costumes.

This game is the first mothership (Namco Bandai's term for non-spin-off games in the Tales of series) game for the Wii. The previous Tales of game for the Wii, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, was classified as a spin-off sequel.

Exclusive Tales of Graces CD Costume Revealed

New scans of Tales of Graces have been revealed, which shows the exclusive costume that is available with the theme song from the game, Mamoritai ~White Wishes~ by BoA, as well as more information about the battles in the game. This game is the first mothership (Namco Bandai's term for non-spin-off games in the Tales of series) game for the Wii. The previous Tales of game for the Wii, Tales of Symphonia: Dawn of the New World, was classified as a spin-off sequel.

The first scan shows off some of the Blast Calibers in the game, also gives a clearer look at the gauge that appears during over limits.

The other scan shows the costume that will be available for those who buy the theme song for the game. It appears to be a in-game version of a costume BoA wears for Cheria. More than likely this will be redeemed via the Wii Shop Channel via a code.

BoA To Perform Tales of Graces's Theme Song

New information about Tales of Graces's theme song signer, as well as development on the game itself, has been revealed.

Namco Bandai held a Tales of Vesperia and Tales of Graces event at TGS 2009 yesterday, which has revealed that Korean signer BoA will be performing the theme song for Tales of Graces, which is called まもりたい～White Wish～, translated to I Want to Protect ~White Wish~.

It was also mentioned that the game is currently at 80% completion, and Hideo Baba was throwing around a tentative December 2009 release, although this may change.

UPDATE: According Andriasang, it preorders for the game will start on October 8th, and those who preorder will initially receive a postcard up front, then they can pick up another yet-to-be-announced bonus when the game is released. This source also validates the December 2009 release that was mentioned in other sources.
