Next Tales of Title Teased, Will Be Revealed At Tales Festival 2012

by Shawn

It's only a few weeks away from the next Tales of Festival event in Japan and with all of the last revealed games having been released, it's time for the next Tales of title to be revealed. And just that has happened as a new scan has leaked online which reveals concept art for the next title in the long-running Tales of series.

As can be seen in the scan, this concept art is much more modern than that found in previous titles, even when compared to the concept art we saw for last year's Tales of Xillia. There's a big focus on tall buildings in the concept art along with a train that's visible in the background.

In recent interviews following the scan leak, Hideo Baba has revealed that that this new title will introduce a civilization similar to our own instead of the typical magic and fantasy angle that many of the titles in the past have employed. Interestingly, the catchphrase for the game is "Are you determined enough to destroy the world for the sake of one girl?", although the official moniker for the game has yet to be revealed.

Most of the questions revolve around the series in general, the recent releases of Tales of Graces f and Tales of the Abyss 3DS in the West and future games in the series. The videos indicate this is apparently a four-part series, so expect the fourth and final video to be released sometime soon.

New Twin Brave Trailers Feature Bosses

PSP by Shawn

Namco Bandai has released a couple new trailers for Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave recently, both of which showcase the bosses found in the game.

Unlike the other Tales escort titles on the PSP, this game plays similarly to the Musou/Dynasty Warriors franchise with the player controlling one character with a partner character being controlled by the game's AI. Characters from the mothership titles (and surprisingly enough Tales of the Tempest) will be included.

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave was released in Japan on February 23, 2012 for the Sony PSP. No news of an North American or European release has been announced.
