Tales of Innocence R Gets Rated In Famitsu

by Shawn

With a little less than a week before the official release of Tales of Innocence R in Japan, Famitsu has released their official score for the game.

According to Namco Bandai the R in the title means "re-imagining", not remake like some had previously thought. Tales of Innocence R will include a revised game theme, a new battle system and a new gameplay system alongside a new opening movie.

As can be seen in the scant, Tales of Innocence R received a 36/40 (9/9/9/9). While not as high as Tales of Xillia's score, it's still a respectable score.

Tales of Graces f Trailer Released

Graces fPS3 by Shawn

Earlier this week, Namco Bandai stated that the first trailer for Tales of Graces f would be released on PlayStation Network sometime later this month. Thanks to Famitsu, we now can see what appears to be the first trailer for the game.

Tales of Graces f (the f stands for "future") has an extra post-game story which takes place after the game's original ending. Without spoiling anything, there seems to be an increase in the monster population, which increases the amount of monster attacks around the world. This causes Asbel and his group to set off once again to determine the cause behind the recent disturbance.

While we won't know for sure if this is the same video that Namco Bandai was planning on releasing until later this month, it sure looks like it. Tales of Graces f is set for a Winter 2010 release date in Japan. No word on a North American or European release.

The video can be found in the full story.

New Tales of Graces f Famitsu Details

Graces f by Shawn

Following our earlier news this week from Namco Bandai's Tales of Series 2010 Lineup Presentation, images of the Famitsu article we tweeted about earlier today have been released, which clarify some of the new additions we recently learned about.

Tales of Graces f, Famitsu, Namco Bandai, PS3, Sony As has already been stated, Tales of Graces f (the f stands for "future") has an extra post-game story which takes place after the game's original ending. This causes Asbel and his group to set off once again to determine the cause behind the recent disturbance.

The article also include an interview with series general producer Makoto Yoshizumi, in which they discuss how Graces ended up coming to the PS3. After the release of the game on the Wii at the end of 2009, the staff took in a variety of opinions through the game's online survey and other mediums. Normally, these submissions are taken into consideration for the next title in the series, but due to an influx of fans asking for a PS3 version, they decided on making one. The interview states that development on the title started in February.

ToP: Narikiri Dungeon X Meets The Idolmaster

PSP by Shawn

With all the recent tie-ins with other Namco Bandai properties in Tales games, many were wondering if Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X would follow the same path. According to a recent Famitsu scan, it appears that that has come to be true.

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X, Namco Bandai, Sony PSP, Sony The new costumes shown in the scan are Ninja, Shooter, Summoner, Emperor, Knight, Bishop and a Monk. It also seems that special clothes, such as Haruka from the The Idolmaster is available using a costume system, which has the player enter a string of five symbols from a set of 16.
