Third Round of Tales of Innocence R DLC Announced

by Shawn

Namco Bandai has been on a DLC spree as of late with Tales of Innocence R with two sets of post-launch DLC already announced. And this week they are adding on the third soon-to-be-released set of DLC for the game.

According to Namco Bandai the R in the title means "re-imagining", not remake like some had previously thought. Tales of Innocence R includes a revised game theme, a new battle system and a new gameplay system alongside a new opening movie.

This third round of DLC features costumes themed after the occupations that each character would like to attain. For example, Ruca is a doctor while Ricardo is a hunter. The costumes will retail for ¥250 each and will be bumped up to ¥300 after April 3 in a similar fashion to the priorly announced DLC.

Tales of Innocence R Paid DLC Confirmed

by Shawn

With only a few weeks before Tales of Innocence R's Japanese release on the PlayStation Vita, Namco Bandai has officially announced the first round of paid DLC for the upcoming title.

According to Namco Bandai the R in the title means "re-imagining", not remake like some had previously thought. Tales of Innocence R will include a revised game theme, a new battle system and a new gameplay system alongside a new opening movie.

The (exceptionally blurry) scans show that some of the DLC will be Idolmaster-themed costumes for the female characters and some sort of black-theme costumes for the male characters (too blurry to make out from the scan). The scan also reveals some Tales cameo-themed costumes with Ruca as Jude, Iria as Rutee. The other scan showcases an extra post-game dungeon which available after completing the game at least one time through.

Tales of Xillia Gets In The Season With New DLC Costumes

XilliaPS3 by Shawn

It's been a while since we last heard about DLC for Tales of Xillia, which was right around the time of the game's release back in September. With the holiday season fast approaching Namco Bandai has announced a new set of festive-themed DLC for the entire playable cast.

Tales of Xillia will utilize the contrast between light and shadow, which will lead to the game having a different art style direction than Vesperia's anime-style graphics or Graces's watercolor-style graphics (it could be more of a hand-painted or oil painting-like feel if the concept artwork is any indication). Baba stated that when he saw some of the concept artwork images running on actual hardware he was very impressed.

The DLC will be added to the PlayStation Store on December 1, 2011. If you want the full set you'll have to buy each one individually as they will be sold individually for ¥300 each.

Tales of Xillia Gets Maid And Butler Costumes

XilliaPS3 by ashley

A week ago we got word of new Tales of Xillia costumes. This week we've learned of even more. So far there have been two sets already detailed. The first set was school-based costumes, and the second was swimwear. This week scans from weekly Famitsu have revealed that the last staple in typical costumes will also appear in Xillia: maid and butler costumes.

Tales of Xillia will utilize the contrast between light and shadow, which will lead to the game having a different art style direction than Vesperia's anime-style graphics or Graces's watercolor-style graphics (it could be more of a hand-painted or oil painting-like feel if the concept artwork is any indication). Tales of Xillia Gets Swimsuit Costumes

XilliaPS3 by Shawn

The last time we got word of new Tales of Xillia costumes they were school-based costumes. Of course, fans of anime know there's another costume fetish that's still missing: swimwear. And that's just what Namco Bandai is bringing to the table in the newest leaked scans for Tales of Xillia.

UPDATE (8/17): Four more scans have leaked out. Two of them feature the other two remaining characters revealed earlier, one shows off more of Jude's Mystic Arte and reveals Milla's Mystic Arte for the first time (which resembles Dhaos's Dhaos Laser to a certain degree but with similarities to Estelle's Ultimate Elements). The remaining scan showcases more of the attachments that can be equipped to the characters in the game.

UPDATE: Three other scans have surfaced tonight. One shows off some of the attachments available in the game while the other two scans are of the characters revealed in this scan.
