Every couple weeks Namco Bandai releases a new batch of character-based trailers for their upcoming Sony PSP title Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave. This week Tales of Phantasia is being featured with videos for two of that game's heroes: Cress and Chester.
Unlike the other Tales escort titles on the PSP, this game plays similarly to the Musou/Dynasty Warriors franchise with the player controlling one character with a partner character being controlled by the game's AI. Characters from the mothership titles (and surprisingly enough Tales of the Tempest) will be included.
Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave will be released in Japan on February 23, 2012 for the Sony PSP. No North American or European release has been announced.

It's almost been a month since our last real bit of Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave news as most of the focus has been on Tales of Innocence R for the PlayStation Vita as of late. Two new scans have been released which showcase four more of the character present in the upcoming title.

As can be seen in the scan, Asbel and Cheria will be representing Tales of Graces while Cress and Chester will be representing Tales of Phantasia. Outside of that there doesn't seem to be anything else of importance to note in the scans that we haven't already touched upon earlier during our coverage of the game.

While we've known for a while that the original Tales of Phantasia characters would be appearing in Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X, we haven't gotten to see them in action since up until now, all of the gameplay videos have solely focused on Dio and Mel. Namco Bandai has just put up two videos, one for Cress and one for Arche.
Both videos confirm that the characters will keep many of their original moves, such as Tidal Wave for Arche. Claus can also be seen in Arche's video, summoning what seems to be Origin at one point (hard to tell exactly due to the size of the video).
Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X is set for an August 5, 2010 release date in Japan. No word on an North American or European release.
Another scan for Tales of Vesperia PS3 has been released, which reveals more cameo costumes and new additions in the coliseum. The game has numerous changes, such as a brand new character, Patty Fleur, the addition of new bosses like the Sword Dancer, Flynn being playable for more that just one battle, among other changes. The game will also be fully voiced and will include new and altered scenes, such as Yuri fighting Don Whitehorse when the party visits Keiv Moc.
First off is the new costumes. Yuri Lowell will get a costumed themed after Judas (Tales of Destiny 2), which could be slightly seen in the previous scans that revealed Estelle's Chloe cameo costume. Also, Repede will get a costume themed after Caius (Tales of the Tempest) and Rita will be getting a costume themed after Mao (Tales of Rebirth).
A new Director's Corner Video has been added to the official minisite for Tales of VS. on Tales Channel, the Japanese hub for the Tales of series. The game will pit the various Tales of characters in a fighting free-for-all, using their well-known Artes, locations from the different games, and even items from the various games, as well as each character's unique Mystic Arte.
Like before, this is a combo video. Both parts of the video have Cress Albane (Tales of Phantasia) fighting against Stahn Aileron (Tales of Destiny). The director first controls Cress and uses Demon Fang at long-range to stun Stahn, then comes in and wraps him into a combo, ending with his Mystic Arte.
In the second half, the director controls Stahn and uses his aerial attacks to throw Cress into the air, also ending with his Mystic Arte.
A new Director's Corner video has been released on the official website for Tales of VS. The video features Ruca Milda (Tales of Innocence) and Nanaly Fletch (Tales of Destiny 2) performing combos, and also includes Cress Albane (Tales of Phantasia). Like the previous two videos, these are meant to show how to perform advanced techniques like canceling and comboing attacks.
Cress Albane (Tales of Phantasia) and Leon Magnus (Tales of Destiny) have been officially revealed to be in Tales of VS. The game will pit the various Tales of characters in a fighting free-for-all, using their well-known Artes, locations from the different games, and even items from the various games, as well as each character's unique Mystic Arte.
Nothing big seemed to be revealed in either video, although both do show off their own respective Mystic Artes. Cress attacks much like he did in Tales of Phantasia, and Leon's Mystic Arte is very flashy and detailed (since he is one of the most popular characters over in Japan), being one of the longer Mystic Artes without an extension (Anise Tatlin being an example) in the game.
