TALES OF CHARACTERS - IN-DEPTH BIOS

The Tales of series started in 1995 and has grown into one of the most popular franchises in Japan, with a smaller but devout following in North America and Europe. The series has graced numerous consoles and handhelds through its lifetime, even appearing in mobile titles from time to time.

In the beginning, each game was kept separate from each other, although now there are direct sequels to previous games (Tales of Destiny 2) and games that take place in the same world, but separated by thousands of years (Tales of Phantasia and Tales of Symphonia). There are now even spin-off games such as Tales of VS. which give players a different experience from the usual RPG formula the series is known for.
