This Week InXilliaGraces fRadiant Mythology 3PS3PSP by Shawn
(Apologizes for the lateness in getting this week's news review up, had a number of outside circumstances --- this includes the two other stories that broke earlier today, which will be up soon.)
This week was quite an interesting week. We got our first look at Tales of Xillia, and there was also number of news stories revolving around Tales of Graces f and Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3.
The theorized "Xillia" trademark turned out to be the name of the next Tales title, and we first got a surprise with two of the notable character designers each doing a design for the game's two main characters.
We also got our first look at the game in action via an official trailer from Namco Bandai themselves.

This week was quite an interesting one, indeed. With Tales of Graces release two weeks ago, there wasn't much information about that game, but Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 sure did get a lot of press. And with only a few days till the presumed Tales of Xillia's reveal, this upcoming week should be one busy one for sure.
Namco Bandai unveiled their plans for new DLC for Tales of Graces f, including finalized release dates and pricing. We also heard some encouraging news about the sales figures for the game, as it surpassed the initial sales of the Wii version by quite a sizable amount.
The new for Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 came from every direction this week, it seems. We found out more info about the theme song, the boxart, new characters and even a PSN version of the game, a first for the series.
It's been a while since the last "This Week In Tales", hasn't it? With things around the network calming down a bit, expect to see more community updates on Tales Union (more on this will come in tomorrow's Staff Blog entry).
This week had the official release of Tales of Graces f in Japan on the PS3, along with some new character reveals for Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 and the game's official release date in Japan.
The final commercial for Tales of Graces f didn't have anything new in particular, although we did get to see more story scenes than were featured in the past two trailers.

Today has been a crazy week, hasn't it? Namco Bandai threw us a curve ball with the surprise announcement of Tales of Graces on the PS3, confirmation of the third game in the Radiant Mythology series and our first look at the next Tales title, exclusive for the PS3. And to make things more interesting, Namco Bandai made the news not once, not twice, but three different times.
After the announcement of Tales of Graces f in Japan, a few fans posted on Namco Games's Facebook wall (this is the only Facebook presence Namco Bandai has). Namco Bandai posted a response, which simply stated they weren't currently localizing the game. This elicited a huge response from the fans at large, which posted hundreds upon hundreds of posts on their wall.
Namco Bandai had put up a second response, which used the phrase "series" instead of "Tales of Graces", which was taken down shortly after it was posted, creating even more fan posts. The company put up a third statement a few days ago which detailed the issues with localizing Tales games, but it still gave no word of any localizations.
