Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike Dub Cast Announced

Last year Funimation revealed that they picked up the North American rights to Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike. The company has now revealed the official dub cast list for the game as well as the first dubbed teaser trailer for the movie.

Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike is a prequel to the game, focusing on Yuri and Flynn's past when they were in the Imperial Knights. Estelle, Raven, and Rita also have cameos, along with some other characters created specifically for the movie.

Funimation Picks Up North American Rights To Vesperia Movie

Last year, news broke of a German distributor picking up the rights for Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike, but with no word on a possible North American release. Today that changes, as Funimation has just announced they have obtain the rights to the film.

Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike is a prequel to the game, focusing on Yuri and Flynn's past when they were in the Imperial Knights. Estelle, Raven, and Rita also have cameos, along with some other characters created specifically for the movie.

This news comes via Funimation spokesperson Jackie Smith, which announced the news alongside gaining additional rights to Fractale and Freezing. It's not currently known if they will be releasing the movie sub-only like Bandai Entertainment's release of the Tales of the Abyss anime or if they will be dubbing the movie in English.

German Film Distributor Picks Up Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike

Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike has been picked up by German distributor Splendid Film. The distributor's site announced the release date as well as the saying the film would be released on Blu-Ray and DVD, the DVD being available in either standard of Limited Special Edition.

The details released by the site indicate that the film will be released with both German and Japanese audio tracks and will have German subtitles. The Limited Special Edition DVD is said to include a digi-pack as well as a booklet, there's no news yet whether anything else will be included with it.

The German Version of Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike is set to release on January 7, 2011. The Japanese version, as you may know, was released on home media in Japan on May 28, 2010. There is still no immediate plan to release Tales of Vesperia on PlayStation 3 outside of Japan, and no word on further localization of Tales of Vesperia: The First Strike.

Tales of Vesperia Movie Blu-Ray Comes With PS3 DLC

Namco Bandai has announced that the Blu-ray version of Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ will have PS3 DLC. The movie is a prequel to the game, focusing on Yuri and Flynn's past when they were in the Imperial Knights. Estelle, Raven, and Rita also have cameos, along with some other characters created specifically for the movie.

The movie will also be released on UMD and DVD. However, only the first prints of the Blu-ray version will include the DLC, which is for Yuri and Estelle. The DLC is available via a code which is included inside the movie's case.

The Blu-ray and DVD version of the movie will also have a trailer collection, audio commentary, and a new video which connects the game with the movie. The UMD version only include the trailer collection as an extra. Gamers interested in picking up the videos should remember that Blu-ray and UMD videos are region-locked, unlike video games.

The movie will be released on May 28, 2010 in Japan. No word has been made on either a localization of the PlayStation 3 version of Tales of Vesperia or an English version of the movie.

The movie will be a prequel to the game, focusing on Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo's past when they were in the Imperial Knights. Estelle, Raven, and Rita Mordio have been confirmed to have roles in the movie, as well as a unknown red-haired woman who seems to be another Imperial Knight.

There are a plethora of previously unreleased scenes in the commercial, and it has a short glimpse of Tales of Vesperia (PS3) at the end.

More characters have been revealed to be in Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~, thanks to an update on the official website. The movie will be a prequel to the game, focusing on Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo's past when they were in the Imperial Knights. Estelle, Raven, and Rita Mordio have been confirmed to have roles in the movie.

The actual page on the official websites lists them in a relationship chart, which is a nice touch. ;)

A day after the Tales of Festival in Japan, the first official trailer for the upcoming Tales of Vesperia ~The First Strike~ movie has been released. According to the trailer, it appears the red-haired woman is actually two people, who seem like twins.

The movie will be a prequel to the game, focusing on Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo's past when they were in the Imperial Knights. Estelle, Raven, and Rita Mordio have been confirmed to have roles in the movie, as well as a unknown red-haired woman who seems to be another Imperial Knight.

Today was the 2nd annual Tales of Festival, a fan event for the Tales of fans in Japan. Among the news was the release date for the upcoming Tales of Vesperia Movie, entitled The First Strike.

The movie will be a prequel to the game, focusing on Yuri Lowell and Flynn Scifo's past when they were in the Imperial Knights. Estelle, Raven, and Rita Mordio have been confirmed to have roles in the movie, as well as a unknown red-haired woman who seems to be another Imperial Knight.

The movie will be out in Japan on October 3rd in Ikeburo Sunshine Cinema and Shinjuku Cinema Kadokawa.
