Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 OP Leaked

Radiant Mythology 3PSP by Shawn

With only two days left before Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3's release, the full opening video for the game has been leaked. On the more "official" side of leaks, Namco Bandai has released a new system video detailing what bonuses can be obtained from importing save data from previous Sony PSP Tales titles.

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 is the third game in the Radiant Mythology series, which brings together Tales characters from many of the games in the long-running series. The third entry features 30 more characters for a total of 80 (with 76 of them being playable), an enhanced character creation tool, a data install option and a brand new aerial-view camera angle.

Importing save data from the first Radiant Mythology will net a new title and equipment alongside being able to battle against Widdershin, the game's final boss. Importing data from the second Radiant Mythology will also net a new title and equipment and will allow the player to battle against Guede, that game's final boss. Importing data from Narikiri Dungeon X will give the player Klarth's hat, Cless's Eternal Sword and Mint's Charity Rod.

Tales of the World: Radiant Mythology 3 is set to be released for the PSP on February 10, 2011 in Japan. No word on an North American or European release.

Keep on reading to see the opening video and the new system video.

100K First Week Sales For Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X

PSP by Shawn

With Tales of Graces's sub-par sales in Japan, many have been wondering just how well Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X, the first Tales release since Graces, would do in retail. According to recent sales figures, it looks like the game is doing pretty well, especially for a PSP title.

According to 4Gamer.net's sales figures, the game has sold 108,356 copies, just under Tales of Vesperia's ~140K PS3 port first week sales and above the Xbox 360's ~100K first week sales. Considering this is a PSP title, it's quite impressive indeed.

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X was released on August 5, 2010 in Japan. No word on an North American or European release.

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X's Insane Combos

PSP by Shawn

With Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X's release in Japan yesterday, many would think Namco Bandai would relegate the official website updates to small updates like adding passwords. Well, the company had a special update planned for today, namely a video showing off what the game's battle system is capable of.

As can be seen in the video, once the player gets the Emotional Brave Gauge (EBG) over 100%, it makes it very easy to string together attacks, which allows the player in the video to net a 30+ hit combo, ending it off with one of Mel's Mystic Artes.

Fast Aerial Attacks Featured in ToP: Narikiri Dungeon X

PSP by Shawn

After about a month since the last costume update, Namco Bandai has put up some more costume videos for Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X, focusing on Dio's Masquerade costume and Mel's Battle Master costume.

Both costumes seem to focus on fast and furious aerial attacks, much like some of the combos that were present in Tales of Graces and the PS2 version of Tales of Destiny. From all the videos we've seen so far, it appears that players that enjoy fast, frantic action and those who enjoy slow, thoughtful action will be at home with the game.

Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X Famitsu Review In

by Shawn

As we now only a week away from the release of Tales of Phantasia: Narikiri Dungeon X in Japan, as expected, the review scores are starting to come in. The first review for the game comes from Famitsu, which received a 9/8/9/8 in the magazine's "Cross" review, which comes out to a 34/40.

The review noted that both side of the game, the Narikiri Dungeon X and Phantasia X parts, should last the player 30-40 hours each, a decent amount of play time for a portable RPG. Translations of the reviewer's comments seems to indicate that they enjoyed the game for the most part and thought it was a good remake of the original Game Boy Color iteration.
