Ruca And Ricardo's Original MAs Are Remixed In This Week's Innocence R Trailers

by Shawn

Namco Bandai has updated the Tales of Innocence R website once again, which means we have another batch of trailers to showcase. This time around we have one for Ruca and another for Ricardo showing off their revised and updated original Mystic Arte from the Nintendo DS version of the game.

According to Namco Bandai the R in the title means "re-imagining", not remake like some had previously thought. Tales of Innocence R will include a revised game theme, a new battle system and a new gameplay system alongside a new opening movie.

Tales of Innocence R will be released on January 26, 2012 in Japan for the PlayStation Vita. No word on a North American or European localization has currently been announced.

See Ruca And Spada In Action in Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave

PSP by Shawn

Last week we got two new Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave videos featuring the two heroes from Tales of Eternia. This week we again have two more videos but featuring Tales of Innocence this time around.

Unlike the other Tales escort titles on the PSP, this game plays similarly to the Musou/Dynasty Warriors franchise with the player controlling one character with a partner character being controlled by the game's AI. Characters from the mothership titles (and surprisingly enough Tales of the Tempest) will be included.

Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave will be released in Japan on February 23, 2012 for the Sony PSP. No North American or European release has been announced.

Innocence Next Up For Twin Braves Plus Mystic Arte Cut-ins Revealed

PSP by Shawn

Late last week we learned about a plethora of new characters being added to Tales of the Heroes: Twin Brave. Today we don't have nearly as much with only two new characters being revealed but there is some other news that fans should enjoy.

As can be seen in the scan, Ruca Milda and surprisingly Spada Belforma (instead of Iria) from Tales of Innocence will be representing that title. The other scan showcases some of the Mystic Arte cut-ins for the characters that were previously revealed.

We previously saw Ruca's new cut-in in the TGS 2011 trailer, but it cut out before the actual animation started, so this is the first visible version of it we've seen as of now. Iria and Spada's new cut-ins are also visible in the scan.

Tales of VS: More Director's Corner Fun

PSP by Shawn

A new Director's Corner Video has been added to the official minisite for Tales of VS. on Tales Channel, the Japanese hub for the Tales of series. The game will pit the various Tales of characters in a fighting free-for-all, using their well-known Artes, locations from the different games, and even items from the various games, as well as each character's unique Mystic Arte.

Like before, this is a combo video. First off is Caius Qualls (Tales of the Tempest) facing off against Chester Barklight (Tales of Phantasia), with the Director using Caius. He uses Demon Fang to attack Chester from afar, then comes in close and keep using combos until he ends it with Caius's Mystic Arte.

In the second half, Kyle Dunamis (Tales of Destiny 2) faces off against Ruca Milda (Tales of Innocence), with the Director using Kyle. Again, using a string of attacks, he is easily able to perform a large combo before using Kyle's Mystic Arte.

The video can be found in the full story.
