Tales of the Abyss 3DS Hits Europe This November

Abyss (3DS)3DSEurope by Shawn

Tales of the Abyss 3DS Hits Europe This November Last week Namco Bandai revealed that they would be attending Japan Expo 2011 and would be showing off Tales of Graces f and Tales of the Abyss 3DS, among other titles. We have information about the games thanks to early reports from people who went to the event, including Tales of the Abyss 3DS's finalized European release date.

Tales of the Abyss was originally released on the PS2 on December 15, 2005 and was localized in North America on October 10, 2006. The game was regarded as an improvement over Tales of Symphonia, extending that game's multi-line battle system into a battle system which allows players to freely move about the field in battle.

According to reports, a couple trailers for Tales of the Abyss 3DS were shown off. Tales of Graces f was supposed to receive a trailer but was canned due to technical difficulties, so it was replaced with the Tales of Xillia scenario trailer which received a huge applause when Hideo Baba asked fans if they wanted the game in Europe.

Famitsu Scores Tales of the Abyss 3DS

Abyss (3DS)3DS by Shawn

With little over a week left before the Tales of the Abyss 3DS's release date in Japan, the official Famitsu score for the game has been released, which has fared differently from its original PS2 score.

Tales of the Abyss was originally released on the PS2 on December 15, 2005 and was localized in North America on October 10, 2006. The game was regarded as an improvement over Tales of Symphonia, extending that game's multi-line battle system into a battle system which allows players to freely move about the field in battle.

Famitsu's score for the game is 8/8/7/8, which amounts to a 31/40, five points lower than the 36/40 score the original PS2 of the game received. Only the score has leaked as of now on the Japanese gaming blogs, so its not clear if there is any technical issues with the port or if Famitsu is rating it lower because not many changes were made to the 3DS version of the game.

Keep on reading for more information about the game and its release date.

UPDATE (6/22): The majors complaints lowering the score was the lack of any major updates outside of the previously NA-only content and some issues reading the smaller fonts due to the 3DS's smaller screens. However, they did like the faster loading times and the ease of use with the touch screen commands.

Tales of the Abyss 3DS Also Coming To Europe

Abyss (3DS)3DSEurope by Shawn

Last week we brought word that Namco Bandai would be bringing Tales of the Abyss for the Nintendo 3DS to North America, but with no word on an European release. Early reports from the latest issue of NGamer Magazine indicate that Europe will be getting the game as well.

Tales of the Abyss was originally released on the PS2 on December 15, 2005 and was localized in North America on October 10, 2006. The game was regarded as an improvement over Tales of Symphonia, extending that game's multi-line battle system into a battle system which allows players to freely move about the field in battle.

A post from one of NGamer's staff members, Matthew, indicates that the game has a Spring 2012 release window. Unconfirmed reports indicate a Fall 2011 release date in North America, so it's not too long of a release gap for Europe with all things considered.

Tales of the Abyss 3DS Coming To America

Abyss (3DS)3DSAmerica by Shawn

Earlier this month, Amazon.com accidentally leaked some information about a possible Tales of the Abyss 3DS release in North America. Thanks to Nintendo Power, that rumor can now be validated, as a localization has just been announced.

Tales of the Abyss was originally released on the PS2 on December 15, 2005 and was localized in North America on October 10, 2006. The game was regarded as an improvement over Tales of Symphonia, extending that game's multi-line battle system into a battle system which allows players to freely move about the field in battle.

Namco Bandai will be releasing the game in Japan next month on June 30, but Nintendo Power's article doesn't list any date for the North American release. The article also confirms that the unvoiced skits in the PS2 version will remain unvoiced due to difficulties in rounding up the original voice actors.

Last month, we brought word that Tales of the Abyss for the Nintendo 3DS was delayed due to uncertain circumstances likely stemming from the recent earthquakes and tsunamis that affected the region. Namco Bandai has finally revealed the new release date for the title, and it's not too far off from the original date.

Tales of the Abyss was originally released on the PS2 on December 15, 2005 and was localized in North America on October 10, 2006. The game was regarded as an improvement over Tales of Symphonia, extending that game's multi-line battle system into a battle system which allows players to freely move about the field in battle.

The game will now be released on June 30, just over a month shy of the original May 19 release date. Even though some possible leaks have surfaced as of late, Namco Bandai hasn't officially announced any localization plans for the title.

Amazon Leaks Tales of the Abyss 3DS

Abyss (3DS)3DSRumours by Shawn

While those looking to import Tales of the Abyss 3DS might be slightly disappointed today, if Amazon's listing is correct, North American fans might be in luck, as it seems the online retailer might have inadvertently outed a North America release of the game.

Tales of the Abyss was originally released on the PS2 on December 15, 2005 and was localized in North America on October 10, 2006. The game was regarded as an improvement over Tales of Symphonia, extending that game's multi-line battle system into a battle system which allows players to freely move about the field in battle.

Tales of the Abyss 3DS Delayed In Japan

Abyss (3DS)3DS by Shawn

JRPG fans wanting their next JRPG fix have been patiently waiting for Tales of the Abyss 3DS's release next month. However, it seems they will have to wait a little bit more, as Namco Bandai has just announced that Tales of the Abyss 3DS has been delayed indefinitely.

Tales of the Abyss was originally released on the PS2 on December 15, 2005 and was localized in North America on October 10, 2006. The game was regarded as an improvement over Tales of Symphonia, extending that game's multi-line battle system into a battle system which allows players to freely move about the field in battle.

Namco Bandai didn't state the exact reason for the delay, so it's not currently known if this was due to a game-breaking bug, which have occurred occasionally with prior games or because of the recent earthquake and tsunami disaster in Japan, as Tales of the Abyss featured parts of the land being ripped up a number of times throughout the game.

In their statement, Namco Bandai didn't state a new release date for the game but did state that they would release new information when they could.
